At Rio Flooring Systems, we are proud of the fact all our #polymerflooring products are designed and manufactured in #familyowned #American factories within the great state of #Ohio. On this #4thofjuly, we wanted to pay homage to Ohio in a way that ties our brand to Ohio's history and place within the United States.
On this independence day we released the attached burgee shaped "Flag of Rio" to reflect and honor the state of Ohio. To understand the Rio flag we must first learn about the Ohio flag. Wikipedia states: The flag of the state shall be burgee-shaped. It shall have three red and two white horizontal stripes that represent the roads and waterways of the state. The union of the flag shall be seventeen five-pointed stars, white in a blue triangular field that represents the state's hills and valleys, the base of which shall be the staff end or vertical edge of the flag, and the apex of which shall be the center of the middle red stripe. The stars shall be grouped around a red disc superimposed upon a white circular "O." The thirteen stars grouped around the "O" represent the original states of the United States and the four stars added to the peak of the triangle symbolize that Ohio was the seventeenth state admitted to the union. The "O" represents the "O" in "Ohio" and suggests the state's nickname, the buckeye state. The proportional dimensions of the flag and of its various parts shall be according to the official design on file in the office of the secretary of state.
The "Flag of Rio" is also burgee shaped with Rio blue horizontal stripes that depict the products we manufacture within the roads and waterways of Ohio. The union of the flag has three five-pointed starts that honor our companies founders in a grey rectangular field that directly points to #epoxycoatings, our largest product category. The Rio logo is housed within a large "O" representing the "O" in Ohio. To add a modern touch, we added #eddievanhalen inspired guitar stripes to honor the #rockandrollhalloffame in Cleveland, Ohio. As a matter of fact, we liked this design so much it has been incorporated into all our #industrialfloor catalogs and brochures which can be downloaded at www.riofloor.com/downloads
